Man addresses his wife: "Good morning, Margot! This is just a brief resum of the most important events of my life. You know the voice quite well, so there's no necessity to mention the name. Today is the twenty-fifth of November, nineteen hundred and fifty-five, and it was on this day, the twenty-fifth of November, forty-three years ago, that I first entered the service of the county farm." He notes that he had just retired on August 29th and that he'd had an Edison Gem Phonograph, presumably the one used to make this recording, the whole time he'd worked at the farm. He recalls that the happiest day of his life was the day he got married.
